Our school, Stredná odborná škola sv. Jozefa Robotníka v Žiline (St Joseph Vocational school in Žilina), is a school run by the Salesians.
Our students are the boys who are being professionally and spiritually prepared for their future lives. The due for being the Salesian school we use Don Bosco's preventive system for educating. The organization running the school is the Slovak Province of the Salesians of Don Bosco (SDB).
There are three priests, two co-auditors and one assistant who also work at school. The principal of our school is Jozef Sarnecký, SDB. There are also teachers, instructors and dormitory wardens. The both Salesians and the lay staff endeavor to create an environment suitable for professional as well as spiritual preparation of young people for their future lives - so that they can become not only competent professionals, but also responsible citizens and good Christians.

Our main aim is to provide activities that help us to reach the salvation of souls, for which Don Bosco was willing to sacrifice everything: ,,Lord, give me the souls, you can take the rest."
We offer our students opportunities to participate in holy masses, spiritual renewals retreats.
